With the arrival of the 2014 holiday season, Aaxon teamed up with The United States Marine Corps for its Inaugural Toys for Tots Donations.
Employees and customers were encouraged to help brighten the holiday for children in need by bringing a new unwrapped toy to the Aaxon office.
While it's the first time Aaxon has participated, many of Aaxon's employees are veterans of Santa's Shop.
"This is the fifth year I've been involved with Toys for Tots", Lori Maron, Aaxon Route Coordinator, noted. "And I know my children were blessed to receive everything they ever wanted on Christmas day and it's nice to know I can do the same for other children too!"
The donations started on Wednesday, November 19th and ran until Friday, December 12th. Aaxon brought over 40 toys to a local Toys R Us. We want to thank the U.S. Marine Corps for their "extraordinary work" in delivering decades of joy to children across the country and we were happy to be part of it this year!
A little history on Toys for Tots
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. Since the early 1990's, Toys for Tots has collected over 64.5 million toys!
