With the arrival of the 2015 holiday season, Aaxon teamed up with The United States Marine Corps for their 2nd Annual Toys for Tots Donations.
This year Aaxon was an official drop-off location. Employees and customers were encouraged to help brighten the holiday for children in need by bringing a new unwrapped toy to the Aaxon office.
Here are some of the responses we received from our Aaxon Team on "Why did you donate to Aaxon's Toys for Tots this year?"
"It's a great deed. I was happy to be part of it this year."- Angie Silveira, Customer Service Rep.
"It's a good feeling knowing you can help a child this holiday season. Every year I volunteer at Joe DiMaggio's Children's hospital and pass out toys to kids who can't go home for Christmas. The one toy I have found to be their favorite are coloring books and crayons. The littlest toys can go a long way."- Lori Maron, Route Coordinator
"I always remember waking up on Christmas morning hoping I had gotten that one gift. I now donate so another child can experience that same joy on Christmas day that I did."- Brittany D'Annunzio, Marketing Coordinator
"I believe children can never have to many toys to open on Christmas that's why I donate to three separate Toys for Tots; Aaxon Laundry Systems, a Starbucks by my house and my apartment complex!"- Paulette Findlay, FDL Operations Manager
"One of the greatest holiday traditions is donating to others. We were thrilled to partner with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation once again to provide toys to children who might otherwise go without one this holiday season."- Frank D'Annunzio, President
"I want to bring a smile to a child's face."- Joe Norris, Assistant Controller
"We can't see a child go without toys on Christmas Day. My wife and I do a Secret Santa every year and the remaining toys we have left we donate to Aaxon's Toys for Tots."- Gary Prindable, Controller
"Every toy counts!"- Frank P. D'Annunzio, Sales Consultant
Aaxon donated more than 40 toys to a local fire station. Thank you to everyone who participated this year!
A little history on Toys for Tots
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. Since the early 1990's, Toys for Tots has collected over 64.5 million toys!
